At Modern Emcee, every custom song is created specifically for you. Because our services involve personalized songwriting, recording, production, and other creative work, we have a specific refund policy for custom orders.

Custom Songs & Creative Services

Before Production Begins

If you request a cancellation before work on your project has begun, you are eligible for a full refund of your purchase.

Once production has started, we begin committing creative time and resources to your project, so the order becomes non-refundable except as described below.

After Production Begins

Once work has begun on your custom song, orders are generally non-refundable.

This includes situations where you change your mind, no longer need the song, or decide that you would prefer a different concept after production has started.

We understand that creative projects can evolve, which is why each custom song includes one revision. Additional revisions may be purchased for $25 each.

A revision is intended for reasonable changes to the existing project. A request to completely change the concept, direction, or song may be considered a new project and may require an additional fee.

Errors or Issues With Your Order

If we make an error or fail to follow important information that you provided when placing your order, we will make reasonable corrections at no additional charge.

We want you to be happy with the final product and will always try to resolve legitimate issues fairly.

If We Cannot Complete Your Order

If Modern Emcee is unable to complete your order for reasons on our end, you will receive a full refund.

Digital Products

Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are generally not available after a digital product has been delivered or downloaded.

If you experience a technical problem or receive an incorrect or defective file, please contact us so we can correct the issue or provide a replacement when appropriate.

Consultation Calls

Consultation fees are generally non-refundable once the consultation has taken place.

If you cancel before the scheduled consultation and provide reasonable notice, you may be eligible for a refund or rescheduling at our discretion.

If a consultation fee is applied toward a future project, that amount will be credited toward the eligible service according to the terms presented at the time of purchase.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute, we ask that you contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

We take legitimate disputes seriously and will work in good faith to resolve problems with an order.

To request a refund or discuss an issue with your order, please contact Modern Emcee with:

Email address used for the purchase
A brief explanation of your request

We will review the request and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Our goal is to create something you’re genuinely excited to receive while also protecting the time and creative work that goes into every custom project.

If something isn’t right, please reach out to us first. We’ll do our best to find a fair solution.

Modern Emcee reserves the right to make reasonable exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis.
