This original hinge kit solves the common issue of the dust cover not being mountable with hinges. When displaying record jackets for extended periods or using older original hinges with built-in springs, be sure to use the four included tapping screws with drill bits for secure installation. The included double-sided tape is 3M VHB 5952. Use an equivalent product if reapplying. ABS resin parts are made using 3D printing. Surface textures such as layer lines, minor marks from support removal, and slight molding variations may be present. Please review the product close-up images for details. An original hinge kit designed to address the complaints of SL-1200MK7 users. The open cover can also be used to display record jackets.
Installation is simple: screw the hinges onto the dust cover and attach the base parts to the back of the unit using double-sided tape. The only tool required is a Phillips screwdriver—no disassembly or drilling needed.
With a fully open angle of 105°, you can attach the included holder to the inside of the cover and display your record jacket—allowing you to enjoy your records with both your eyes and ears.
The dust cover can be used either fully closed or fully open (as shown in the second photo). It can also be removed by lifting it straight upward.
For a more secure installation, it is recommended to use the four included self-tapping screws with drill tips. Insert them through the pilot holes in the base parts and screw them directly into the turntable chassis for reinforcement.
This product’s base parts are also compatible with the original hinge RFKNL1200MK3 and the genuine dust cover TTFA0457 (TTPA0683).
