The making of this track
I made the beat using a Teenage Engineering PO-33 and ran it through the SP-404 SX for some extra sauce on the effects side of things. Funnily enough, I wish I’d done the beat completely on the PO-33 just because I need people to understand how awesome it is as a tool for rappers like myself.
People call the PO-33 a toy and that couldn’t be further from the truth, especially with resources like FL Studio’s stem separation (albeit it isn’t perfect but still) and BlockChain Ultra by Nuro Audio.
Although I’m arguing against it being a toy, the PO-33 is a lot of fun. If i’m being honest it may even be more fun to use to me than the EP-133 by teenage engineering which I originally got to get rid of the fuzz in the back of every PO-33 track.
